Covid-19: Lowest daily positivity rate since April

Sixteen more people have died with coronavirus infection and 718 new cases have been reported in 24 hours (till 8am today) across the country.

In that period, 14,363 samples were tested and the positivity rate is 5 percent, the lowest since the early April, 2020.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) today issued a press release with the latest information on the coronavirus situation.

According to the DGHS, the total number of cases in the country currently stands at 5,24,020.

With the 16 new deaths, the total number of fatalities due to coronavirus has risen to 7,819.

The DGHS said another 963 patients have recovered in 24 hours (till 8am today). With this, total 4,68,681 patients have recovered.
